This web site - www.whnt.nhs.uk - is operated by Wirral Health Informatics Service (WHIS), a directorate of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (WUTHNFT). Various other departments of WUTHNFT are involved in certain aspects of the site's operations, such as producing material for inclusion in the site. All directorates and departments of WUTHNFT are obliged to adhere to the Trust's "Code of Conduct for handling personal identifiable information" as well as other standards for the protection of information. This web site is therefore subject to those strict safeguards.

There are various facilities within www.whnt.nhs.uk which allow you to type in information and submit it to the Trust, e.g. Freedom of Information requests and 'Contact Us' forms. You should be aware that when you submit that information it is not encrypted, nor is it subject to special security measures. Therefore, it is possible that your information may be intercepted by somebody on the internet who is attempting to do so. In order to monitor usage, our computer systems log the IP addresses of computers from which people visit the practice web site. They are used as part of a set of data which produces reports about how much the site is used by the general public. IP addresses do not allow us to trace your identity.
