As one of the country's biggest and most well respected district general hospital trusts, Wirral University Teaching Hospital provides a wealth of high quality health care services to a population of around 400,000.
The Trust combines more than 900 beds at Arrowe Park Hospital in Upton, 250 beds at Clatterbridge Hospital in Bebington, two wards at Victoria Central Hospital in Wallasey dedicated to the care of older people and x-ray facilities at St.Catherine's Community Hospital in Tranmere.
Arrowe park Hospital offers the full range of emergency and acute services to adults and children, and also maternity services. Its extensive range of high- tech diagnostic aids include x-ray, CT scanner ultrasound, a bone density scanner and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner.
The very latest in theatre technology is represented by Arrowe Park Hospital's 16 operating theatres, which include 4 that are specially designed to cater for gynaecological or obstetric cases, 2 for eye patients and 1 for day cases.
Pathology facilities process the full range of tests on a 24-hour basis, and a wide selection of medication is stocked by our Pharmacy Department.
