The TRIP Database is a clinical search tool designed to allow health professionals to rapidly identify the highest quality clinical evidence for clinical practice.

NHS Centre for Reviews & Dissemination databases
CRD undertakes high quality systematic reviews that evaluate the effects of health and social care interventions and the delivery and organisation of health care.

Prodigy
Prodigy (formerly The NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries) is a reliable source of evidence-based information and practical 'know how' about the common conditions managed in primary care.

NICE Guidelines
NICE Guidelines (formerly The National Library of Guidelines) indexes over 2000 selected care guidelines available in fulltext format online. Coverage is predominantly UK with some additional international guidelines.

Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) develops evidence based clinical practice guidelines for the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland.

Your relevant professional association or royal college may also hold guidelines relating to your profession / specialty.

Training
The Integrated Library Service offers a full Information Literacy and Skills training programme to enable you to develop your own skills.

IT facilities
We have a range of computer and printing facilities available; if you are involved in audit or research activities you may also be interested in our range of specialist software (Including SPSS, NVivo and Reference Manager).

Clinical Librarian Service
The Clinical Librarian Service aims to bring research evidence to your workplace to enhance clinical and business decision-making, and support your research, audit and educational activities. The Clinical Librarian is available to attend your team / departmental meetings if you would like to learn more about how this service can benefit you.

Journal Club support service
If you are part of a Journal Club, or are thinking about starting one, the Integrated Library Service (ILS) has a number of professional librarians who can support you and your team through our Journal Club support service.
