February 2009
On Friday 13th February 2009, the Integrated Library Service (ILS) and the Cardiovascular Department, Arrowe Park celebrated Valentine’s Day with Love Your Library, Love Your Heart 2009.
Our 2nd annual Valentine’s Raffle raised money for the British Heart Foundation (www.bhf.org.uk). Raffle prizes included a signed Liverpool Football Club football, wines and spirits, chocolates and toiletries.
Library users joined in with our event by discovering ’10 reasons to love your library’:
1. Expert help in locating health information on the Internet
2. Borrow books from a collection of over 20,000 and a print journal collection to help you keep up to date
3. A range of specialist software to support your research
4. Use of library computers free of charge
5. ‘Ask a Librarian’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year

8. Literature Searching Service to help you find information on your chosen topic
9. Comfortable study areas
10. A new Read and Relax recreational book collection
Special Valentine's cards were circulated Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals which offered the chance of winning a £10 book voucher if you could tell us why you love your library.
