Clinical Excellence
The Clinical Excellence department has been developed as part of a new and innovative structure within the HR and Organisational Development Department of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The department takes responsibility for empowering and enabling the development and implementation of efficient and effective processes and procedures in ensuring that the Trust:-
- Is equipped to anticipate, identify and address the clinical competencies required to deliver safe, effective and reliable care in a changing and complex environment
- Embeds a culture of clinical leadership and accountability in the training of all clinical professionals
- Meets and wherever possible exceeds its responsibilities to provide excellent education and training for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and clinical students and staff
- Maximises the benefits and reputation of the Trust’s University Teaching Hospital status, effectively managing relationships with Universities, Deanery, Clinical leaders in securing sustainable service and training needs.
- Provides quick, reliable, responsive and cost effective service allocating suitably qualified staff and volunteers to the point of need, at the time required.
