Critical Care Unit

Welcome

Welcome to the Critical Care website. It has been designed and introduced for patients, their relatives and carers so that they can gain some insight into our unit, how it works, and what you can expect whilst you are a patient or visitor to our area.

It’s our aim that by having this website it will reduce fears and anxieties and make your experience of our Unit a positive one.

Philosophy

Our critical care unit provides patients and their families with the highest level of care in an atmosphere of kindness, dignity and respect. It reflects our commitment in putting the patient at the centre of the service.

We embrace all cultures, and are sensitive to the individual’s needs. Our co-ordinated approach to care ensures that every aspect of treatment is carefully planned.

We support staff in their continuing education through evidence-based research and teaching to meet the needs of the patient in a changing society.
