Trauma & Orthopaedics
Trauma & Orthopaedic have management responsibilities across Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge hospitals . The management team is led by a clinical director who is supported by an assistant divisional general manager. There is also a directorate support manager and matron.
Elective Services
The department compromises thirteen consultant orthopaedic surgeons, each with a main subspecialty interest. We also have a visiting specialist from Alder Hey Hospital (Mr N P Garg) specialising in paediatric orthopaedics.
Hip and knee

Special interests: Primary knee and hip replacement, including hip resurfacing arthroplasty, unicondylar knee and patellofemoral joint replacements. Hip surgery in the young patient, including those patients who have previously suffered from paediatric hip disorders. Revision hip and knee replacement, in particular patients with infected replacements, periprosthetic fractures and patients with significant bone loss.
