Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the statutory body responsible for the running of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and most particularly its managerial and financial performance. The Board is also charged with setting out the strategic direction of the Trust regarding the development of services, the business planning process, the setting of corporate performance and quality objectives and the monitoring of overall service quality.
The Chairman and Non-Executive Directors are integral to the governance of the Trust. The Non-Executive Directors have been appointed by the Assembly of Governors and bring their varied experience to bear on the running of the Trust on a part-time basis.
The Executive Directors are full-time employees of the Trust and were appointed by appropriately constituted selection panels.
